The first seminar on the „Paraentrepreneurship training academy“ project
The first seminar on the „Paraentrepreneurship training academy“ project was held in April in ROMANIA. The interest was great and 20 mentors were present during the two days, trained in the module on entrepreneurship of people with disabilities. The host was Federatia Romana de Baschet – a partner in the project.
Overall Aim:
To bring a European dimension to our local work and to initiate cross-sectoral cooperation, 4 local cross-sectoral cooperation meetings will be held in 4 partner countries. Each country will hold workshops involving public (local authorities/universities/schools) – civil (foundations, NGOs, etc.) – private (sports organizations) representatives to highlight the important inclusive dimension of the module.
These workshops will provide insight into our internal capacity and how we can improve cross-sectoral collaboration with the local actions we can create. At the end of each seminar, a report was made.
Specific Objectives:
1) To better analyze the current situation and needs in 4 countries regarding the use of sport for social causes
2) To define the roles of local and national stakeholders in social empowerment through para-entrepreneurship
3) Creation of additional good practices and success stories at the local level
Develop key skills and portfolios necessary for working with para-athletes in the aspect of using sports s a tool
4) Facilitate the process aimed at discovering and highlighting skills and qualities between the sectors
(sport and entrepreneurship)
5) Assist athlete/para-athlete empowerment in the field of business and entrepreneurship education
